TechFlow news, January 8 — According to VentureBeat, Story, the blockchain platform for intellectual property (formerly known as Story Protocol), has announced a strategic partnership with AI image generation leader Stability AI. The two parties will jointly create a new paradigm for open-source AI development, leveraging blockchain technology to track contributions, establish ownership, and distribute value for AI creators.
Jason Zhao, Chief Protocol Officer at Story, said the company will integrate Stability AI's foundational models with Story's blockchain infrastructure to provide comprehensive support for ecosystem applications. Currently, the search-generated AI hybrid platform Mahojin and the brand IP physical design platform ABLO have already developed applications based on this technology, enabling traceability and equitable revenue distribution for AI-generated content. Scott Trowbridge, Vice President at Stability AI, emphasized that decentralized creator economies will become a key direction for industry development.
Story plans to explore multiple innovative use cases, including registering artists' unique styles, voices, and other training data as IP assets on the blockchain, with transparent usage terms defined upfront. When creators use these IPs to train models and commercialize outputs, revenues generated will be distributed proportionally to all contributors across the value chain.
