TechFlow news, on December 14, Microsoft shareholders rejected a proposal to purchase Bitcoin. Gracy Chen, CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitget, said this was expected, as most Microsoft shareholders likely value the stability of the software giant's assets. She stated: "Microsoft investing in Bitcoin could mean taking on additional risks. Many people invest in Microsoft because it is a predictable and solid business. For shareholders building their diversified investment portfolios, adding assets like cryptocurrencies to the company's balance sheet could complicate the company's valuation and distract from the core business objectives that attract investors to its stock."
Additionally, regarding companies considering replicating MicroStrategy's approach, Gracy Chen emphasized the need for caution, noting that new entrants face significantly higher Bitcoin prices compared to when MicroStrategy began purchasing Bitcoin.
