TechFlow news, November 25 — According to Cointelegraph, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated on The Wall Street Journal's "Future of Everything" podcast that the future of artificial intelligence lies in autonomous agents, not large language models (LLMs).
Benioff believes LLMs have reached their developmental limits and that, for the past few years, people have been "intoxicated by the ChatGPT craze," overestimating AI’s practical capabilities. Autonomous AI agents, capable of independently performing tasks such as sales communications and marketing campaigns, will significantly enhance enterprise efficiency. Salesforce has already deployed pre-built AI agents in customer service automation.
Notably, OpenAI plans to launch its agent product codenamed "Operator" in January 2025, while Nvidia indicated during its Q3 earnings call that enterprise-grade AI agents are emerging as the latest trend.
