TechFlow reported on October 25 that, according to Fortune, fitness incentive app Moonwalk Fitness has announced the completion of a $3.4 million seed funding round. The financing was led by Hack VC, with participation from Binance Labs, Reciprocal Ventures, and Solana co-founder Raj Gokal. Moonwalk Fitness is a fitness accountability application that combines gamification elements with financial incentives, aiming to encourage users to build healthy habits through cryptocurrency reward mechanisms, injecting new vitality into traditional fitness tracking.
The core mechanism of Moonwalk Fitness encourages users to stake USDC, SOL, or BONK tokens to achieve daily step goals. Users must meet their team's step target or stay in sync with the leaders; otherwise, they will lose part of their staked funds, which are then redistributed among the winners. Caitlin Cook, Head of Growth at Moonwalk Fitness, calls this "gamified accountability," designed to help people stick to the goals they set for themselves.
