TechFlow news, October 23 — According to an official announcement, cross-chain protocol ZetaChain has declared that 1.5 billion ZETA tokens will be permanently anchored to its native mainnet, while capping the maximum amount convertible into Ethereum ERC-20 tokens at 600 million. ZetaChain stated this move is aimed at preparing for upcoming chain integrations and significantly enhancing network security.
The specific measures include:
- The total supply of ZETA remains unchanged at 2.1 billion tokens.
- 1.5 billion ZETA tokens are permanently anchored on the ZetaChain native network.
- Up to 600 million ZETA tokens can circulate as ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum network.
ZetaChain emphasized that this decision will strengthen network security and decentralization. By ensuring that 1.5 billion ZETA tokens are directly secured by the native ZetaChain network instead of relying on an ERC-20 contract, overall security is greatly enhanced.
