TechFlow News, October 21 — Rune Christensen, founder of MakerDAO (now renamed Sky), announced on social media that he will draft an Atlas Edit proposal to initiate a community vote on the project's core brand direction. This move aims to respond to community feedback and build consensus on the project’s future path. Christensen proposed three voting options:
-
Continue using Sky as the core brand;
-
Refocus on the original Maker brand with its legacy identity;
-
Refocus on the Maker brand with a refreshed, updated identity.
Christensen emphasized that once the core brand direction is decided, the next step will involve evaluating whether adjustments to the tokenomics model are needed, as well as determining the future of the Sky brand and SKY token—should the vote decide to refocus on the Maker brand.
