TechFlow reported on October 18 that, according to The Block, EthOS, an Ethereum-based operating system, has launched dGEN1—a hardware device designed for interacting with decentralized applications (dApps) on-chain and running light clients. The company describes dGEN1 as the "first on-chain daily carry device," featuring a browser and built-in wallet, along with a dedicated screen that displays transaction notifications and metadata during network interactions. Originating from LineageOS, a fork of Android, EthOS integrates a native Nimbus light client to ensure user data is validated when using on-chain dApps without relying on trusted third-party RPCs, the company said. The built-in EthOS browser supports IPFS and .eth domain names.
