TechFlow news, October 8 — According to Bitcoin.comNews, South African cryptocurrency exchange Luno recently announced a strategic partnership with payment platform Zapper to enable cryptocurrency payments at over 31,000 merchants nationwide. This collaboration aims to expand cryptocurrency use beyond investment into everyday transactions.
Tarris Arnold, Luno's Business Development Manager, said the partnership will help break the perception of cryptocurrencies being solely investment assets. Users can now transact online or in physical stores by scanning Zapper QR codes, with a maximum transaction limit of USD 5,740 per transaction. Zapper CEO Mike Bryer revealed the partnership is expected to bring approximately 5 million South African users to the Zapper network.
