TechFlow reports that Shardeum has announced the official launch of the third phase of its Atomium Incentivized Testnet on October 1, 2024.
The previous two phases were successfully completed, attracting over 540,000 participants, including more than 11,000 validators, and facilitating over 5 million transactions. The third phase is expected to last 3–4 weeks, longer than the previous stages. This new phase will introduce five tiers of tasks, including a referral program, social tasks, unlocking referral rewards challenges, voting and quiz games, as well as tower challenges, Wordle games, and unlimited SHM transfers.
Notably, the scope of validator tasks will be expanded to include a penalty mechanism simulating mainnet operations. Users' XP points will be penalized if their nodes violate rules or fail to meet specific criteria.
