TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, Galaxy crypto researcher Christine Kim believes the likelihood is "high" that the upcoming Pectra fork will be split into two separate upgrades—Prague and Electra—due to the current complexity of the Pectra fork and additional upgrade requirements. Previously, Christine Kim summarized the 196th Ethereum core developer execution (ACDE) meeting by stating that Ethereum developers are seriously considering splitting the Pectra upgrade into two distinct phases.
Additionally, Christine Kim added that if developers decide to divide the Pectra upgrade into two hard forks, the scope of each could undergo significant changes. Ethereum developers are expected to make a decision on this matter during the next Ethereum All Core Developers call on September 19.
