TechFlow reports, according to The Block, that Succinct Labs, a startup backed by prominent venture capital firm Paradigm, has announced a collaboration with OP Labs, the primary contributor to the Optimism protocol, aiming to solve key challenges in zero-knowledge rollup (ZK Rollup) technology. Succinct Labs stated on social platform X that the two teams have been working closely over recent months to jointly develop OP Succinct—an seamless solution capable of upgrading any OP Stack chain to utilize zero-knowledge proofs within one hour.
Previous report, Succinct Labs raised $55 million in seed and Series A funding led by Paradigm in March 2024. The company claims its new approach significantly reduces the standard seven-day fraud proof window of optimistic rollups, with average transaction costs amounting to just fractions of a cent. In a blog post, Succinct Labs emphasized that OP Succinct’s two-step integration process requires only minimal code modifications, making it easy to incorporate into existing deployments, including rollup-as-a-service setups. This breakthrough is expected to bring significant improvements to Ethereum scaling solutions, enhancing transaction processing speed and reducing costs.
