TechFlow news, August 27 — According to The Block, the Solana Optimistic Network (SOON) announced completion of its cobuilder round fundraising, with the specific amount undisclosed. This round reportedly involved no venture capital firms, but rather prominent builders from across the industry. Participants include Lily Liu, Chairperson of the Solana Foundation; Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana Labs; Jonathan King, head of Coinbase Ventures; Mustafa Al-Bassam, co-founder of Celestia Labs; and Robinson Burkey, co-founder of Avail and Wormhole Foundation.
SOON stated that funds raised will be used to develop the SOON Stack and SOON Mainnet, aiming to build "the highest-throughput rollup tech stack, delivering scalability and efficiency for decentralized applications and any Layer 1 blockchain." The SOON Stack is a modular framework combining SVM and OP Stack, while SOON Mainnet is a general-purpose SVM Layer 2 network settling on Ethereum.
