TechFlow reports that on August 16, Lido contributors announced the launch of staked ETH (wstETH) on BNB Chain. This expansion marks Lido's first secure integration with a Layer-1 blockchain outside the Ethereum ecosystem. With wstETH now integrated, transfers between Ethereum and BNB Chain can be conducted using the Native Token Transfer (NTT) framework.
This significant interoperability milestone, achieved through joint development efforts by Axelar and Wormhole, enhances seamless transfer of staked ETH across these major blockchain ecosystems, unlocks new liquidity, and expands DeFi opportunities across multiple ecosystems.
