TechFlow reports on August 12 that Ion Protocol, a protocol for unlocking staker liquidity, announced $4.8 million in funding to support the development of its native yield platform Nucleus. Nucleus aims to generate native yields for rollups and appchains, providing users with financial incentives to bridge assets onto networks.
The round was participated by Gumi Capital Cryptos, Robot Ventures, BanklessVC, NGC Ventures, Finality Capital, and SevenX Ventures, bringing Ion Protocol's total funding to $7 million. Nucleus generates yields through infrastructure products such as bridges and oracle networks, distributing returns to networks, applications, and users, thereby supporting the growth of the decentralized application ecosystem.
