TechFlow news: StarkWare, a core contributor to the Ethereum Layer 2 solution Starknet, announced it will integrate the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol from the Cosmos ecosystem and collaborate with Informal Systems, a key contributor to Cosmos.
This integration will enable Starknet to connect with any IBC-compatible chain, including all Cosmos chains and other non-Cosmos ecosystem chains that adopt this functionality.
StarkWare stated that this collaboration aims to enhance Starknet's decentralization and interoperability by exploring the Tendermint consensus algorithm and the IBC protocol. A key source of efficiency in the IBC protocol is its use of light client verification.
Over the past year, StarkWare has also been advancing several R&D initiatives, including bringing STARKs to Bitcoin, the ZKThreads framework for "fractal scaling," and parallel transaction execution.
