TechFlow reports that Fetch.ai has posted on X, announcing that FET tokens held or staked on its mainnet will automatically convert to the native ASI token. Fetch.ai emphasized that the conversion will occur automatically after the upgrade is complete, and users should not panic or rush into decisions. The network will undergo scheduled downtime during the upgrade, but users' locally staked funds and rewards will remain secure. Users holding FET on exchanges that do not support this merger will also have their funds safe.
