TechFlow news, according to The Block, influencer Logan Paul has filed a defamation lawsuit against YouTube creator Stephen Findeisen (aka "Coffeezilla") over a YouTube video series in which Findeisen accused Paul of involvement in fraud related to his failed NFT game CryptoZoo. The lawsuit seeks $75,000 in damages, plus additional legal fees and other remedies deemed appropriate by the court.
At the end of 2022, "Coffeezilla" released a video series alleging that Paul promoted CryptoZoo and collected funds from NFT holders but failed to use those funds to pay developers for completing the game, resulting in financial losses for investors and participants. Paul later posted a response video claiming the game was still under development, though it has since been removed from YouTube.
Paul alleges that Stephen repeatedly and maliciously made false statements accusing him of fraud in connection with CryptoZoo. Court documents state that Stephen knew these claims were false but continued spreading them to boost his own fame and income. The filing further argues that "Coffeezilla" omitted key facts in his videos—facts indicating that Paul never intended to commit fraud, but instead aimed to develop a legitimate blockchain-based game.
