Ripple will use Axelar as the bridging protocol for the XRPL EVM sidechain.

The XRP Ledger, supported by Ripple, has announced the upcoming launch of a sidechain called the "XRPL EVM Sidechain," with Axelar serving as the exclusive bridging protocol. Axelar will enable users to convert XRP into wrapped XRP (eXRP), which will serve as the native gas token on the sidechain.
