TechFlow reported that Russian crypto exchange Beribit is in trouble. First, Russian authorities reportedly raided Beribit's office at the end of March, linking it to the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack. Subsequently, Beribit announced discovering financial discrepancies within the company and stated that an audit would be required. Now, over 50 Beribit customers have occupied its office, demanding the return of more than $4 million.
Beribit claims to have processed withdrawals, but another report indicates that only customers who filed police reports received funds. Meanwhile, lawmakers in Russia's State Duma have proposed a bill to ban cryptocurrency exchanges, which has sparked controversy.
