TechFlow News — Anichess, a chess strategy game backed by Animoca Brands, has raised $1.8 million in funding led by Sfermion and Amber Group, with participation from Fenbushi Capital, Aspen Digital, SNZ Capital, and others. The new capital will be used to support game development, marketing initiatives, and team expansion.
The game is developed through a collaboration between Animoca, Chess.com, and five-time world chess champion Magnus Carlsen. Featuring PvE gameplay, Anichess is expected to launch its second phase later in the first quarter of 2024, introducing PvP functionality.
