TechFlow news: Taiko, an Ethereum L2 project based on zkRollup, has announced that its latest testnet Hekla is now publicly available, supporting EIP-4844 functionality, with the mainnet launch imminent.
New features:
- No longer requires archival L1 nodes.
- Enables EIP-4844 DA blocks.
- Adjusted L2 block gas issuance and cap.
- Fine-tuned EIP1559 parameters.
- Improved daemon proof infrastructure.
- Supports two-step claiming for L2-to-L1 bridged tokens.
In addition, Hekla adopts the same Battle-Consensus Rollup (BCR) mechanism as Katla. Taiko will launch on mainnet using the BCR architecture. Katla will be deprecated on May 10.
Taiko will soon release its first Rollup-based version, bringing Ethereum to everyone around the world.
