TechFlow reported that Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, delivered a keynote speech titled "Building Ethereum in the 2020s" at the Web3 Summit held in Hong Kong in 2024.
He stated that EIP-4844 lays the foundation for future scalability through Data Availability Sampling (DAS). Current DAS can accommodate 3 data blobs (approximately 375 kB). The next phase, PeerDAS, will support 8–16 data blobs (about 1–2 MB), and ultimately, full DAS will handle 128 data blobs (around 16 MB).
