TechFlow reports that xAI, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup, is in financing talks to raise $3 billion, which would value the company at around $18 billion post-money. Among the potential investors are venture capital firm Gigafund and Steve Jurvetson. While the funding terms have not yet been finalized, recent negotiations for the round have accelerated. The company has launched an upgraded chatbot, Grok-1.5, capable of competing with rivals like ChatGPT, and has begun rolling it out to select users.
