TechFlow News — Lumino, an AI infrastructure startup, has announced the completion of a $2.8 million Pre-Seed funding round. Investors include Longhash Ventures, Inception Ventures, Protocol Labs, TRGC, L2IV, Zero Knowledge Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Quaker Capital Investments, OrangeDAO, and Escape Velocity.
Founded in July 2023 by Eshan Chordia and Yogesh Darji, Lumino aims to address the surging costs of computing resources required for AI model training, the GPU resource monopolization by large corporations, and the challenges faced by AI builders due to limited choices among public cloud providers.
The company is building an integrated hardware and software compute protocol that leverages economic incentives to pool computing resources, uses blockchain to ensure models are trained correctly, and provides developers with an SDK enabling customers to begin training their AI models within minutes—reducing AI compute costs by up to 80%.
