TechFlow reports that Tornado Cash developers have issued a fraud warning to cryptocurrency users who made deposits via IPFS gateways between January 1 and February 24. The developers suspect that during this period, attackers may have intercepted Tornado Cash deposits and redirected them to servers under their control.
According to the developers, this deposit leak appears to affect only Tornado Cash's IPFS deployment. Users who interacted with the contracts through a local interface are considered "safe," as the submitted changes can be "easily audited."
