TechFlow news, according to The Block, chain data shows that cryptocurrency exchange FixFloat appears to have been exploited for 26.1 million USD worth of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Due to unexpected fund movements, the exchange has entered maintenance mode and remains offline. On the Bitcoin blockchain, 409 BTC (approximately 21.17 million USD) were observed being transferred to a suspicious address, while on Ethereum, a similar amount of 1,728 ETH (approximately 4.85 million USD) was moved to the same address.
The exchange stated on X: "We've encountered some minor technical issues and have switched our services into maintenance mode." The severity of the breach has not yet been confirmed, with its website stating: "Technical work is underway, and we'll be back soon."
