TechFlow News, Theta Network announced it will launch Theta EdgeCloud in the first half of 2024, the industry's first hybrid cloud computing platform built on a distributed edge architecture. The new initiative will focus on advancing AI use cases, including video, media, and entertainment.
Additional highlights for the first half of 2024 include the Phase 1 release of EdgeCloud, a Theta hackathon, new adoption metrics and sidechain statistics, support for ecosystem projects, and enhancements to the Theta Video API.
Future plans include EdgeCloud Phase 2, a fully decentralized Theta Video API, and Theta Web3 Theater.
In 2025, the full launch of EdgeCloud will enable community nodes to work in tandem with cloud infrastructure. Theta will continue updating its roadmap to co-develop the future of the network.
