TechFlow reports that yesterday, during the 2024 World Economic Forum, Bitget launched the Blockchain4Her initiative at the Davos Web3 Hub event hosted by CV Labs. The program aims to promote gender diversity and inclusion within the blockchain industry. Bitget pledged to invest $10 million in supporting women-focused initiatives. These initiatives include a female entrepreneur incubation program, venture competitions, a Women in Blockchain summit, an awards ceremony, and an ambassador program.
At the conference, Bitget engaged in in-depth discussions with numerous female experts and entrepreneurs from various fields on advancing gender equality in the Web3 industry, empowering women, and driving growth in the crypto sector. Kristina Lucrezia Cornèr, Editor-in-Chief of Cointelegraph, stated: "In the cryptocurrency industry, we need to foster diversity and inclusion—much like Messi, creating more 'Messis' in every community."
Thy-Diep (Yip) Ta, founder of SystAln3r, pointed out that women are not just consumers but also participants and creators actively shaping the future of our industry. Therefore, supporting founders from diverse backgrounds—especially women—is crucial. "We appreciate CV Labs and Bitget for enabling us to share our experiences and challenges at this important forum," she added.
