TechFlow news — According to official announcements, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has entered Web3 to explore alternative forms of capital allocation and has selected Gitcoin Grants Stack as its preferred toolkit. This marks the second time Gitcoin's technology has been adopted by a prominent nonprofit organization, following a powerful QF collaborative pilot project with UNICEF in 2022.
Gitcoin, part of OKX Ventures' portfolio, focuses on public goods funding and developer community support. Both parties jointly supported Schelling Point, the first-ever conference in the Asia-Pacific region held in Singapore this year. Jeff Ren, member of the Gitcoin Steward Council and Partner at OKX Ventures, said: "We are thrilled to see traditional sectors embracing innovation through blockchain technology, with Gitcoin driving positive social impact for developer communities and society at large. This represents progress toward meaningful social impact and broader adoption, and OKX Ventures will continue supporting these initiatives and related ventures."
