TechFlow reports, according to The Block, that Modhaus, a blockchain-based Korean pop music startup (Web3 K-Pop project), has announced the completion of an $8 million Series A funding round led by Sfermion, with participation from SM Culture Partners, Laguna Investment, KDDI Open Innovation Fund III, and Foresight Ventures. The new capital will support its growth and drive more blockchain-based use cases within Korea's entertainment industry.
Founded in December 2021, Modhaus created TripleS—a K-pop girl group with over 1.74 million YouTube subscribers—through its NFT voting system. Cosmo, a blockchain-powered entertainment platform under Modhaus, allows fans on the COSMO app to purchase NFT photo cards, which then function as voting tokens.
