TechFlow reported that Gitcoin founder Kevin Owocki, during an interview with Blockworks at Permissionless II, said the crypto ecosystem is constantly evolving, with strategies and models changing over time. Therefore, he hopes Gitcoin can become a key component within the ecosystem by providing infrastructure for other projects to achieve Sybil resistance and fund public goods. Currently, the focus is on building public funding and anti-Sybil infrastructure.
Since its founding in 2019, Gitcoin has reportedly funded over 3,000 different projects, donated more than $50 million toward public goods, and the total market value of funded projects has reached $28.2 billion.
