TechFlow news, Standard Chartered stated that by the end of 2026, ETH's price could rise from its current level of around $1,600 to $8,000.
"We believe Ethereum's established leadership in smart contract platforms, along with emerging use cases in gaming and tokenization, could push ETH to $8,000 by the end of 2026 (five times its current price of $1,600)," said Geoffrey Kendrick, Head of Foreign Exchange and Cryptocurrency Research at Standard Chartered, in a report on Wednesday.
Kendrick noted that the projected $8,000 price target for ETH is seen as the first step toward the bank's previously defined "long-term structural valuation" range of $26,000 to $35,000. While the long-term valuation assumes future use cases and revenue streams for Ethereum that may not yet exist, real-world applications such as gaming and tokenization should support their development.
