TechFlow news, Placeholder partner Joel Monegro posted that Ethereum is a modular blockchain, similar to Android, rapidly becoming a platform for third-party networks. It can support multiple different types of applications and networks, but is not the final destination for most end users and developers.
In contrast, Solana is a highly integrated blockchain, akin to iOS, offering higher performance and a more consistent experience. As a single, unified network, it is faster and cheaper than Ethereum and many other EVM networks.
Monegro said this isn't a competition about winners and losers, but rather a matter of choice. The industry needs diversity to meet the needs of different users and developers.
