TechFlow reported, according to Cointelegraph, that Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation has released an artificial intelligence (AI) regulatory roadmap aimed at helping businesses prepare for regulations similar to the EU's Artificial Intelligence Act. The roadmap emphasizes educating citizens on protecting themselves from AI-related risks.
The roadmap adopts a step-by-step approach to provide tools for enterprises so they can prepare ahead of future regulatory implementation. The plan includes instruments such as voluntary codes of conduct and white papers to foster a culture of corporate self-regulation.
Ukraine plans to develop its own AI Act in 2024, which will take into account and incorporate elements from the EU's Artificial Intelligence Act. The EU legislation bans certain AI technologies, including biometric monitoring and emotion recognition, while permitting the use of clearly labeled AI-generated models.
