TechFlow reports, citing data submitted by Dunamu, operator of South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, that Upbit suffered 159,661 hacking attempts in the first half of this year—2.17 times the number recorded last year. In 2019, Upbit lost approximately 58 billion KRW due to hacking incidents. Dunamu stated that since then, it has maintained over 70% of its assets in cold wallets.
