TechFlow reported, according to an official blog post, that Fuel Labs, the developer of Ethereum's modular execution layer Fuel, has announced the launch of its hybrid proof technology called FuelProver. This technology combines the advantages of Optimistic Rollup and ZK Rollup, bringing a new scalability solution to the Ethereum ecosystem.
FuelProver offers the following benefits:
-
Reduced withdrawal time: With more predictable block validity verification timing, withdrawal windows can be reduced from the typical 7 days to approximately 8 hours.
-
Generality: FuelProver is independent of any specific ZK proof architecture, supporting various state-of-the-art general-purpose provers, maintaining flexibility and adaptability as ZK proof technology evolves.
-
Intelligent ZK prover execution: Unlike traditional ZK Rollups, Fuel Rollup validators only need to run the ZK prover when a block is invalid, significantly reducing proving time and node requirements by leveraging substantial computational resources only when necessary.
-
Flexible modes: FuelProver can operate in fully optimistic mode with a 7-day withdrawal delay or adopt a simpler (1R) hybrid model.
With FuelProver, developers and applications gain enhanced security and lower transaction costs, delivering a more seamless decentralized application experience for users.
