TechFlow reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has published a blog post expressing his views on proof of personhood. He stated that proof of personhood holds significant value in addressing spam and decentralization challenges. It avoids reliance on centralized authorities and maximizes user privacy protection.
He also noted that there is no ideal form of proof of personhood. There are three paradigms: social graph-based, general-purpose hardware biometrics, and specialized hardware biometrics—each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Ideally, we should treat these three technologies as complementary and integrate all of them together.
