TechFlow news: Kakarot, the ZK EVM launched by Starknet, has completed a pre-seed funding round. The investment was participated by institutions including StarkWare and LambdaClass, as well as angel investors such as Vitalik Buterin, Nicolas Bacca, and Rand Hindi. Specific investment details and amounts have not been disclosed.
Kakarot is an Ethereum Virtual Machine written in Cairo. This means it can be deployed on StarkNet, Ethereum's layer-2 scaling solution, and run EVM bytecode programs. As a result, Kakarot enables Ethereum smart contracts to operate on StarkNet.
