TechFlow news: Community members of the decentralized autonomous organization BitDAO have approved a governance proposal known as BIP-21, which proposes rebranding BitDAO's governance token from BIT to a new identity, Mantle. BitDAO will merge into Mantle Network.
With this integration, Mantle Network developers will inherit from BitDAO reserves of nearly $300 million in stablecoins and over 270,000 ETH (approximately $485 million), funds that will play a crucial role in supporting the expansion and broader adoption of Mantle Network.
In addition, Mantle Network is set to enter the second phase of its testnet in May, codenamed "Ringwood."
