TechFlow news — UK-based startup Token.io has raised $40 million in a funding round led by Cota Capital and TempoCap, with participation from Element Ventures, MissionOG, PostFinance, Octopus Ventures, Opera Tech Ventures, SBI Investments, among others.
Token.io began several years ago developing alternative payment technologies to improve cross-border payments, and cryptocurrency was indeed part of that initial vision. However, in 2019, Token.io spun off its crypto-focused business named M10 and now focuses on helping banks (state-owned and commercial) build and operate tokens for creating their own digital currencies and other purposes.
