TechFlow news — According to VentureBeat, blockchain game Civitas has announced a $20 million funding round led by Delphi Digital and Three Arrows Capital, with participation from Framework Ventures, BITKRAFT, DeFiance Capital, Sfermion, and several strategic partner game studios including CCP Games, Yield Guild Games, Merit Circle, and YGG SEA.
Directive Games, the developer behind Civitas, was founded in 2014 and is led by a team of industry veterans formerly from CCP Games, LucasArts, Weta Digital, Ubisoft, and Tencent. The company plans to build Civitas as a community-driven, collaborative city-building game, aiming to launch a beta version in the first quarter of 2023, followed by an official release later that year.
