TechFlow news — JAN3, founded by former Blockstream Chief Strategy Officer Samson Mow, has raised $21 million at a $100 million valuation, with participation from Alistair Milne, F2Pool co-founder Chun Wang, and El Zonte Capital.
"JAN3 will focus on advancing Bitcoin and Layer-2 technologies such as Liquid and the Lightning Network, which are key to mass adoption and the Bitcoin circular economy," Mow said in a press release. "The company will also support nation-state Bitcoin adoption initiatives and contribute expertise to infrastructure development projects."
JAN3 is set to take over Blockstream’s cryptocurrency wallet AQUA and NFT marketplace Raretoshi. The company has already signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of El Salvador to provide digital infrastructure for the country and Bitcoin City.
