TechFlow news, KYVE, a cross-chain storage middleware built on Arweave, has announced its transition from EVM-based smart contracts to a Cosmos SDK-based Layer 1 blockchain.
Prior to this transition, KYVE nodes interacted with Solidity contracts deployed on Moonbase Alpha, the testnet of Moonbeam. Now that KYVE has become its own layer 1, the network operates with its own security and nodes, supporting two types of nodes: existing protocol nodes and newly introduced blockchain nodes.
Additionally, the KYVE ERC-20 token will no longer exist—only the native KYVE token on the Cosmos-based blockchain will remain.
KYVE is a cross-chain storage middleware built on Arweave that provides a unified solution for all blockchain data needs through its standardized validation and archival framework.
