TechFlow news — ALTAVA Group, a fashion metaverse platform, has secured approximately 11 billion KRW (about $9.02 million) in funding led by Blocore and Animoca Brands, with participation from institutions including Wemade, Spartan Group, and Sky Vision Capital, as well as private investors such as Sebastien Borget, co-founder of The Sandbox, and Wei Zhou, former CFO of Binance. The funds will be used to enhance Altava’s services, hire talent, and expand marketing efforts.
Headquartered in Singapore and operating in Korea, ALTAVA Group aims to democratize luxury fashion and retail in the metaverse. Altava is building a metaverse ecosystem that includes the metaverse platform "ALTAVA Worlds of You," currently in service testing, and "ALTAVA Market," an NFT marketplace for luxury lifestyle brands. Additionally, "ALTAVA Worlds of You" is set to launch globally in the second half of this year through collaborations with metaverse projects such as The Sandbox.
Previously, it was reported that The Sandbox partnered with ALTAVA Group to expand luxury fashion and lifestyle brands within the metaverse.
