Jiang Zhuoer Announces Adjustment to Hedging Strategy: From Short ETH to Short BTC
LTC Mining Pool CEO Jiang Zhuoer (@Jiangzhuoer2) stated in a post that after the current market cycle ends, he will adjust the existing hedging strategy, changing from previously using WBETH as margin to short an equivalent amount of ETH perpetual contracts, to using WBETH as margin to short BTC of equivalent value based on the exchange rate. The core reasons given are as follows: • MSTR is expected not to continue purchasing BTC for a long period, while Bitmine is still continuously buying ETH; • Sectors such as RWA continue to develop, and the ETH demand structure is more diversified; • Referring to the previous bear market, there was a time discrepancy between ETH's lowest point (June 18, 2022, $881.56) and BTC's lowest point (November 21, 2022, $15,476), which may be repeated in this cycle; • Technically, BTC has fallen below the rising channel, while ETH is still near the lower edge of the rising channel. Jiang Zhuoer also pointed out that there is a possibility of ETH hitting a phase low of $1505.68 on June 6, 2026 in this cycle, and subsequently will focus on shorting BTC.
According to TechFlow, on July 28, ViaBTC Pool CEO Jiang Zhuoer (@Jiangzhuoer2) stated in a post that after the current market cycle ends, he will adjust his existing hedging strategy, changing from previously using WBETH as margin to short an equivalent amount of ETH perpetual contracts to using WBETH as margin to short an equivalent amount of BTC based on exchange rate conversion.
The core reasons he provided are as follows:
- MSTR is expected not to continue purchasing BTC for a relatively long period, while Bitmine is still continuously buying ETH;
- Sectors such as RWA continue to develop, making the ETH demand structure more diverse;
- Referring to the previous bear market, there was a time mismatch between ETH's lowest point (June 18, 2022, $881.56) and BTC's lowest point (November 21, 2022, $15,476), which may be repeated in this cycle;
- Technically, BTC has fallen below the ascending channel, while ETH remains near the lower edge of the ascending channel.
Jiang Zhuoer also pointed out that there is a possibility of ETH hitting an intermediate low of $1,505.68 on June 6, 2026 in this cycle, and he will focus on shorting BTC subsequently.
