SK Hynix will announce its second-quarter earnings on the 29th. Following Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix is also expected to set a new profit high for the second quarter this year. According to reports from 14 brokerages over the past month compiled by the Korean financial information agency Yonhap Infomax, SK Hynix's second-quarter revenue and operating profit are expected to be 84.0597 trillion KRW and 64.0899 trillion KRW, respectively. The expected operating profit for the second quarter is approximately 17 trillion KRW higher than the operating profit of 47.2 trillion KRW for the entire last year. Adding the operating profit of 37.6103 trillion KRW for the first quarter of this year, SK Hynix's operating profit for just the first half will exceed 100 trillion KRW. Earlier this month, Samsung Electronics also released a preliminary earnings report, with its DS division performing strongly, reaching an operating profit of 89.4 trillion KRW. If SK Hynix's performance meets market expectations, the combined operating profit of the two companies for the second quarter will exceed 150 trillion KRW.
