TechFlow reports, July 26, according to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung stated: "South Korea and the United States should expand the scope of cooperation, not limited to the long-standing security alliance relationship, but also covering technology, innovation, and startup sectors."
He emphasized that combining the United States' world-class venture capital capabilities and global network with South Korea's advanced technological strength and manufacturing competitiveness will create a new batch of global innovative enterprises. Lee Jae-myung also called on U.S. venture capital firms to strengthen cooperation and expand investment in South Korea, while promising to create the world's most attractive investment and startup environment.
He stated that South Korea will reform its visa system to better attract overseas entrepreneurial talent, while laying the foundation for establishing a cooperation system among domestic and foreign enterprises, research institutions, and investors. He also promised to help South Korean startups grow into globally competitive enterprises by connecting private and government-managed funds.
