According to TheStreet, economist Peter Schiff stated that the recent decline in SpaceX (SPCX) stock price could be a warning signal from the market regarding rising risks in high-valuation AI stocks and crypto assets. TechFlow news, July 26, according to TheStreet, economist Peter Schiff stated that the recent decline in SpaceX (SPCX) stock price may be a warning signal from the market regarding rising risks in high-valuation AI stocks and crypto assets. He believes that SpaceX's adjustment is not a single company issue, but may reflect a trend of cooling investor enthusiasm for hot assets.
SpaceX stock price closed at $115.26 on July 22, down about 49% from its historical high, and below the $135 offering price paid by institutional investors when subscribing in June. Schiff posted on the X platform stating that SpaceX's decline "may indicate future trends," and previously stated "AI is not a bubble, but AI stocks are."
In addition, SpaceX issued $25 billion in bonds in June, covering multiple maturities. Among them, the yield on bonds maturing in 2056 rose to a record level of 7.6% this week, reflecting a reassessment by bond investors of long-term risk premiums.
