South Korean official: During Lee Jae-myung's visit to the US, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will sign major agreements with US companies

South Korean Presidential Office Policy Chief Kim Yong-beom stated that during South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's visit to Silicon Valley, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will sign major agreements involving "huge" amounts of funds with major US tech companies. These agreements may include new long-term memory chip supply agreements, strategic cooperative investment partnerships, and memoranda of understanding. He did not specify the amount.

TechFlow news, July 24, Kim Yong-beom, Chief of the Policy Office of the Presidential Office, stated that during South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's visit to Silicon Valley, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will sign major agreements involving "huge" amounts of funds with major US tech companies. Kim stated that President Lee Jae-myung's visit served as a "catalyst," helping to complete long-term negotiations between South Korean and US companies.

Lee Jae-myung departed for the US on Friday. He will attend an artificial intelligence summit and hold meetings with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI founder Sam Altman, Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei, and Broadcom CEO Hock Tan respectively. (Jin10)
