TechFlow reports, on July 22, the Polygon Foundation stated that the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed to the Amoy testnet and is planned to activate on the Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000 around 14:00 (UTC) on July 29.
This upgrade aims to enhance the reliability of Polygon payment scenarios, including: maintaining transaction processing through an automatic failover mechanism when block producers abnormally stall, intercepting transactions that may slow down or affect network stability, and providing node operators with more comprehensive operational visibility. Polygon also reminded that all node operators should complete the upgrade as soon as possible to ensure compatibility and network security.
